A few weeks ago, I started a series of posts called āThe Gratitude Diariesā. Everything is a bit up in the air at the moment, the news seems to be bleaker than ever, so I thought Iād write these posts to remind myself – when I look back on these times, which I more than likely will- that it wasnāt all bad.
(Iāll link the previous posts at the bottom of this one).
Working from home
Up to now, I had been furloughed from the job Iāve had since the end of last year. I was incredibly grateful for that, as they couldāve just said it wasnāt worth paying weekend staff. This week, I found out that they are now rolling out the facilities to work from home. Itās going to be weird when I eventually start back working, after not doing so for a while, but Iām going to try and be as grateful as possible when everything starts up again.
The ability to get tested
I know our testing facilities arenāt great in the U.K. but, thanks to my Dadās key worker status, my parents were able to get tested after showing symptoms. As we expected, they have tested positive. Though itās not ideal for any of us, Iām glad they were able to get access to a test as they know to take things slower than usual now.
Getting started on my ARCs
Iāve never received ARCs before. Thanks to NetGalley though (and my inability to stop reading), Iāve found myself a wealth of books to get myself into. I think I made the mistake of applying for too many but, as I read the stories that I was accepted to read, as of now I have no regrets!
Spending more time with my sister
Without the Coronavirus crisis, my sister wouldāve been graduated and on her way to be working right now. Whilst Iām gutted that she might not be able to graduate properly and working is delayed, Iām made up that weāve been able to spend a lot of time together.
Rewatching old shows
Iāve used this one before so I apologise for the repetition! At the minute, Iām loving rewatching Series 2 of The End of the F***ing World and starting from the beginning of Parks and Recreation
What are you grateful for this week? Iād love to chat in the comments! š

If you need someone to chat to, if things feel a bit much (or, quite simply, if you want to talk about something other than Coronavirus!), you can find me on Twitter, Instagram and Goodreads
