Whilst January felt like it lasted a lifetime, February went by very quickly. I don’t have a clue what this month will bring but I do know that – just like every other month, and every Monday – I’ll continue sharing 5 songs I’ve been listening to (and loving) at the moment.
Let’s get into it, shall we?
Vivienne Chi, White Lies
I’d never heard of the London based singer however I think this song, her latest release, was the perfect introduction.
The song felt reminiscent of a Wolf Alice track for me, with catchy riffs and moody vocals, and could definitely soundtrack the brighter, summer nights ahead.

Miley Cyrus, Plastic Hearts
It seems teenage me has intercepted the playlist as, at twenty three years old, I’ve found myself listening to Miley Cyrus (minus the blonde wig and alter ego).
Whilst it’s taken from a very grunge-sounding, rock album, there’s a country pop feel to the track that I can’t get enough of.

NewDad, I Don’t Recognise You
I’d never heard of the Irish based alternative rock band but this song – a single from the end of last year – was a great place to start.
The track is easy-going, very chilled and perfect for unwinding after a hard day of doing well – let’s face it – as much as we can.

Sylvan Esso, Die Young
The pop band are not new to me – as one of their collaborations has featured on this playlist – but this song is new to me.
The song is fun, energetic and full of infectious electronic beats that’ll get stuck in your head.

Molly Payton, How to Have Fun
I’d never heard of the New Zealand singer-songwriter until I stumbled across this track but this song – a single from last year – was a great introduction.
The sound is thumping, arena-ready and impactful coupled with Payton’s moody vocals. It’s angsty rock at its best.
