WWW Wednesday (21st March 2021)

It’s finally Wednesday! 🎉. I don’t know about you, but I’m enjoying the more relaxed lockdown that the U.K. finds itself in. I’ve been in a right funk for a while but just a little bit of normality has done me wonders (I’m even buzzing for my first haircut in ages tonight, it really is the simple things 😂). Even though I’m doing more, I’ll never forget to find the time to read.

As usual, I thought I’d share my current, last finished and next reads.

Before I get into it, I’ll just remind everyone this challenge was created by Sam and centres around answering the following questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m currently reading Unbreak Your Heart by Katie Marsh.

I’ve said for ages I’m reluctant to read this one, as it seems like it’ll be a sob fest compared to my lighter reads of late. However, I’m currently 35% in and it’s not as upsetting as I thought. There are heavier, sadder moments but it’s not as heartbreaking as I anticipated…though it still has a while to go 😂.

I recently finished Kate in Waiting by Becky Albertalli.

I would tell you what I thought about this one, but I’ll save it for my post for the WriteReads blog tour (mine will be live on May 1st!).

My next read – once I receive my review copy – will be Real Men Knit by Kwana Jackson. I don’t knit, nor do I think I ever will (I’m clumsy without the added factor of sharp pointy things), but this looks like a sweet story so I’m looking forward to it. You’ll be able to read my full thoughts once I post my blog tour post on June 1st.

Following on from this, I’ll be picking up You and Me on Vacation by Emily Henry. I must be the only book blogger/bookstagrammer who hasn’t read Beach Read (though it’s on my Kindle so it’s just a matter of picking it back up at some point!) but I couldn’t get enough of the cover and premise so jumped at the chance to get involved with a blog tour.

So that wraps up another WWW Wednesday. What have you been reading at the moment? I’d love to chat about recent/upcoming reads with you 😊.

For more things books, baking and everything in between, you can find me on:
