WWW Wednesday (26th May 2021)

Here we are, another Wednesday under our belts (the last one of the month, in fact). I’ll be posting my TBR for June as well as my wrap-up for May soon but, for now, I thought I’d share my current, last finished and next reads.

Before I get into it, I’ll just remind everyone this challenge was created by Sam and centres around answering the following questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

(Goodreads)

I know, I know I still have to read You and Me on Vacation but — as seems to be the common theme of these posts —- here I am telling you I’m reading a book I don’t need to yet!

I really enjoyed Holly’s debut Just Friends (you can read my Q&A about this book here) so – when I saw that I could nab an ARC of this on NetGalley– I jumped at the chance to read it early. I’m a little bit over halfway through it and I’m enjoying it — it’s more on the serious side than her first novel but there are still little flickers of humour there and bits that have me saying (to no one in particular) “that’s me that”.

And the award for book I was looking forward to yet it’s somehow taking me forever to read goes to…..

In all seriousness, I am actually going to sit down and give this book a read this week because a. it’s for a blog tour and b. I actually really want to read it. Cross everything for me that I get it finished before my tour date — very early next month! 🤞

This was one of my most anticipated reads for 2021 and — honestly — it’s lived up to the (self imposed) hype.

I’ll be posting my full review of this next month, so keep an eye out.

Like last week, I don’t have any reads planned 🎉. I’m just going to just see where the mood takes me (and enjoy life outside of reading) but I’m sure I’ll be posting on the blog so when I know you’ll know!

So that wraps up another WWW Wednesday. What have you been reading at the moment? I’d love to chat about recent/upcoming reads with you 😊.
