Music Mondays #33

I might have started a NEW series of music posts on Friday but that doesn’t mean I’ve (completely) forgotten the original series, Music Mondays.

I haven’t posted an update in a while but here we are, 5 tracks I’ve been listening to — and loving — at the moment.

Goat Girl, Badibaba

I’m a massive fan of the South London post-punk band and this song, from their latest album, is no exception.

Badibaba is a catchy track that is a bit eerie and haunting but it’s the kind of song that gets better with each listen (trust me).

Wasuremono, Are You Ok?

I’d never heard of this U.K. based group until I came across this song – from their 2019 album – but I’m sure it won’t be the last of theirs that I listen to.

Are You Ok? feels made for the summer, with sweet vocal harmonies and uplifting catchy hooks.

Jelani Aryeh, Stella Brown

I’d never heard of Aryeh until I came across this song but I’m sure I’ll be listening to more of his music after this.

Stella Brown is angsty, indie music at its best and is perfect for fans of Alfie Templeman.

Claud, Soft Spot

I’ve got a few of Claud’s songs on my playlist already and this one – from their 2021 album, Super Monster – is my personal favourite.

Soft Spot is a floaty, indie-pop song that feels very reminiscent of acts like Japanese House and Phoebe Bridgers – who I have a bit of a soft spot for musically.

Slow Pulp, Falling Apart

I’d never heard of the Chicago based band until this song popped up on a playlist once but I can’t stop listening to it.

Falling Apart couples soft vocals with music with an acoustic feel to it, the perfect song for unwinding after a long day (which describes pretty much every Monday I’d say 😂).

What have you been listening to at the moment? I’d love to chat and share recommendations! 😊.
