Books

WWW Wednesday (16th June 2021)

It’s finally Wednesday 🎉. I feel like this week has absolutely dragged but – in amongst working, making sure I go on a walk every day and whatever else I find myself doing – you’ll be happy to know I’m reading! I’m not getting through books particularly quickly this month but I feel like that’s a given now that the world has opened back up…a little bit at least!

Before I get into it, I’ll just remind everyone this challenge was created by Sam and centres around answering the following questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m 22% in to this book and – at the moment at least – I’m not really a fan.

I know I’m not that far into it – and anything can change by the end – but I’m really not feeling the main character (and narrator) of this one. I’m going to carry on with it, though, and might just be updating that I’ve changed my mind about it (so watch this space!).

I received this one after winning a giveaway a while back and – even though I’m not that far into it – I’m anticipating that I’ll really enjoy this one.

I don’t usually laugh out loud where books are concerned but I’ve already laughed at this book so much (I’d take that as a good sign!).

I’ll share my full thoughts on this one later in the month.

What I will say now though is that, despite finding the constant song lyrics cropping up in amongst dialogue quite annoying, I did enjoy this one.

Once I finish Make Up Break Up, I actually don’t have anything planned to read! I’m probably going to use the rest of the year to read some Kindle books I haven’t got round to yet and picking up some books my friend gave me in our book swap.

So that wraps up another WWW Wednesday. What have you been reading at the moment? I’d love to chat about recent/upcoming reads with you 😊.
