Books

WWW Wednesday (21st July 2021)

We are absolutely hurtling through this month, aren’t we? I’m absolutely loving sitting outside in the garden with a book or, more likely in my case, going inside to escape the heat with my Kindle!

As always, I’ll just remind everyone this challenge was created by Sam and centres around answering the following questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

This is a book that — if you’ve been following me for a while —- you’ll know I’ve been putting off reading. In my head, I thought this was a book that was made for sitting on a sunbed on holiday so I’ve been waiting (impatiently, I might add) until I can do that.

Of course, sick of waiting for the green light to go on a holiday we’ve already cancelled several times, I’ve now picked it up. It’s different from her latest book but there’s still that same heat to it and I’m interested to see where it goes (and if it lives up to the rave reviews!).

This one was one of the books on my (very short) TBR for this month.

I’m going to post my full review of the book on the 26th, so keep an eye out, but I will say that it was a funny, family affair with a hint of romance.

I’ve very much become a mood reader this month — as I haven’t had any blog tours scheduled — and, after reading Dial A For Aunties, I wanted to continue the easy reads and this one delivered.

I’ll post my full review on the 27th, so keep an eye out, but what I will say is that this is a fun enemies-to-lovers story about luck, love and luxury (free) holidays!

My friend gave me this — and another book — a while back and, in contrast to my two recently finished books, this wasn’t a light read 😂.

I’ll post my full thoughts on 1st August but what I will say is that it is an interesting exploration of ballet, competition and rivalry.

I have no idea what I want to read next!

I have plenty of things to read on my Kindle and my bookshelf soooo it’ll just be a matter of deciding what book appeals to me, so when I figure it out I’m sure you will as well!

So that wraps up another WWW Wednesday. What have you been reading at the moment? I’d love to chat about recent/upcoming reads with you 😊.

    1. It was definitely an interesting insight into ballet & dance schools, something I never thought I’d read about 😂. That’s pretty good! I’m also doing the same but I’m too scared to count how many I haven’t read 😬
