WWW Wednesday (18th August 2021)

Like last week, I’m writing this post from (thankfully) sunnier climes and, as well as some much needed time away from work and time with family, this holiday has been great in terms of reading.

I’ll just remind everyone this challenge was created by Sam and centres around answering the following questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

After finishing a dark book recently (and completing my rather short August TBR), I thought I’d read something a bit lighter and – as I’m nearly halfway through it – I can tell that this book is exactly what I needed.

It’s not exactly what I was expecting but I’m throughly enjoying it.

This was the second book on my TBR for the month and I’m happy to report that I enjoyed it. I’ll post a full review when my posting is a bit more organised (a.k.a when I’m back from my holiday and desperately looking for something to keep the holiday blues at bay!) but what I will say, for now, is that it is a thought provoking and different kind of love story.

This was the last book on my TBR for the month and — whilst you’ll have to wait for my full thoughts on it — what I will say is that it was an easy read romance that really hasn’t quashed my desire to start a podcast (though mine wouldn’t feature an attractive co-host, so I don’t really see much point šŸ˜‚).

That ā€œdarker bookā€ I mentioned earlier in this post? It was this one. I picked this up earlier this year as (I’m not ashamed to admit) it was in the 99p Kindle deals and, after rave reviews, I was looking forward to reading it. You’ll have to wait for my full thoughts on this one but, what I will say, is that it’s a dark and rich book which (if you’re anything like me [Read: Clueless]) will keep you guessing until the very end.

As I’ve completed my TBR, I’m just reading what I feel like for the rest of the month. I’m not sure what I’ll be reading next but, as always, I’ll keep whoever reads these posts updated as soon as I know.

So that wraps up another WWW Wednesday. What have you been reading at the moment? I’d love to chat about recent/upcoming reads with you (maybe you can help me choose my next read?).
