Music Mondays #46

It’s the first Monday of a new month and I can’t wait to see what new music gets released this month.

I spent the weekend either drunk, hungover or getting over the hangover but I’m ready – if a little reluctantly – for a new week. As always, I’ll be sharing 5 tracks I’ve been listening to (and loving) at the moment.

Pixie, Shine On

I’ve already added this track to the playlist but this song, from Pixey’s second EP, is a much needed dose of sunshine on these dreary winter nights.

The track oozes with sunshine and catchy melodies.

Mumble Tide, On My Deathbed There’s A Full Page (You Don’t Get To Read It)

After I saw them support Liz Lawrence, the Bristol duo have found their way on my playlist.

The song is catchy and the instrumentals are gripping.

Matt Maltese, Everyone Adores You (at least I do)

After seeing Matt Maltese live in Manchester a while back, I’ve made sure to keep up with whatever the singer puts out next.

The song is a gorgeous, floaty love song.

Kasabian, ALYGATYR

Kasabian are on the list of bands I’m needing — and hoping — to see live (I think, if I’m lucky, 2022 is the year for that).

The track is effortlessly cool indie rock which teases the band’s new and exciting direction.

pizzagirl, sugar ray

I love championing local acts and pizzagirl is not just from Liverpool, he’s also very good.

The track is a catchy and fast paced indie pop song that’ll have you looking up his entire releases (if you’re like me, anyway!).

What have you been listening to at the moment? I’d love to chat and share recommendations! 😊.
