Music Mondays #48

I might be slightly hungover (which is potentially no surprise, depending how well you know me!) but that won’t stop me from sharing 5 tracks I’m listening to (and loving) at the moment.

Red Rum Club, Come Back, Anna Marie!

Easily one of the highlights of Neighbourhood Weekender 2021, the Liverpool band are going from strength to strength – as their new album, How To Steal The World, proves.

Aside from the previously released singles, this track is my personal favourite. It’s full of fun and the band’s signature sound is in full force – I can’t wait to (hopefully) hear it live soon.

Gang of Youths, tend the garden

Again another highlight of Neighbourhood Weekender (who I would recommend everyone go and see live when you can), the U.K. based band are teasing their upcoming album, angel in real-time.

Much like their previous tracks, this one is full of joy and David Le’aupepe’s vocals are immaculate- I’m planning on grabbing tickets for one of their U.K. dates next year so I’m looking forward to hearing this one live.

Lord Huron feat. Allison Ponthier, I Lied

If you’ve been watching the latest series of You on Netflix, you will probably have already heard this song.

This song boasts beautiful instrumentals and stunning vocal harmonies.

SINS, Western Skies

I actually saw this band last night supporting a mutual friend’s band and this song in particular got a great reception (even if it was only me and my mates dancing!).

This song is a catchy indie track which reminded me of The Streets or Jamie T, two acts I really like.

Gengahr, LOVE.

I’m a big fan of this band but I hadn’t heard this song until my sister told me about it.

This song is a chilled, catchy indie track.

What have you been listening to at the moment? I’d love to chat and share recommendations! 😊.
