Monthly Wrap-Up: December

Here we go, my final wrap-up post for 2021! (don’t forget to catch up with my posts for: January , February , March, April, May, June, July, August, September , October and November ).

December was my second month in the new house and I had some good news regarding work – my contract has been extended until the end of September 2022. This month was pretty low-key as I had no blogger events or anything to attend but I spent a lot of chilling out and getting back into (some sort of) routine.

I didn’t watch a lot of TV this month but what I did watch was pretty good. I watched (and really enjoyed) the latest series of What We Do In The Shadows on BBC IPlayer.

I also watched the latest series of Married at First Sight Australia on E4. It was a perfect example of trashy reality TV (and confirmation that true love is a foreign concept 😂😂).

Carrying on from the trashy TV, I’ve also binge-watched Below Deck and Below Deck Med. To break up the trash TV, I’ve also watched some comedy including Live at The Apollo and James Acaster: Repertoire.

I watched 15 films this month:

🍿 Admission – a funny comedy about getting into university and getting on with your life.

🍿 Last Christmas – a festive frolic full of George Michael hits.

🍿 The Holiday – a festive rom-com that’ll have you swooning.

🍿 Jungle Cruise – an action packed Disney live action.

🍿 Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen – a cheesy teen comedy.

🍿 Pulp Fiction – a cool classic film I’m ashamed to say I hadn’t watched until this month.

🍿 Love Actually – a Christmas classic everyone seems to watch every year.

🍿 Click + Collect – a witty and wonderful festive film.

🍿 Just My Luck – a cheesy 2000s rom-com.

🍿 Jojo Rabbit – a dark comedy with humour and heart.

🍿 About Time – one of my all time favourites.

🍿 Don’t Look Up – an apocalyptic movie with little bits of humour and plenty of realism.

🍿 Last Night in Soho – a trippy time hop horror

🍿 Boss Level – an interesting Groundhog Day style film.

🍿 Venom: Let There Be Carnage – a funny not-quite hero film.

I posted my January TBR yesterday and I can’t wait to get stuck into it.

This month, I read four books: Crying in H Mart , Send Nudes, The Arctic Curry Club and What A Shame.

As well as Music Mondays , I also listened to Addicted to Love by Good Future and Grass Stains by Laura Elliott.
