My Goals for 2022

I might be slightly hungover but, like last year and the year before , I’m still going to let you know my goals for the year ahead.

I’m not a fan of resolutions (as I usually give up on them fairly quickly) but I do have some goals for 2022.

Have a better exercise routine

Diet culture is shoved down our throats at this point but I’m not going to let it get to me. Since I moved house in November , I haven’t been moving my body as much.

I’m not aiming for a diet or a goal weight or anything but I’m just going to move more in 2022 so I carry on being happy and healthy.

Drink more water

If this resolution was “drink more gin”, I’d probably ace it. Like a lot of people, I know I need to drink more water so I’m aiming to do this in 2022.

Keep in touch with friends

I’m noticing in my mid-twenties how much my friends are changing, but I’ve realised more than ever I want to be part of that change. I’m one of those people who moan about people not replying to texts but I think I need to make more of a conscious effort with checking in on my friends and making sure I see them.

Read more

I read a fair few books in 2021 and I hope I can do the same (or slightly better) this year as well.

Cook more

I moved house last year and, whilst I think I’m an okay cook, I’ve spent a lot of the past year shoving pre-cooked stuff into the oven or the microwave.

It might be a bit expensive but I really want to cook more this year because it’s something I like doing.

Keep a diary/journal

When I was younger, I always kept a diary/journal to record my daily thoughts. I haven’t done it in a while but I downloaded an app called My Diary last month so I’ll be logging my entries every day just as a way to get my thoughts and feelings out but also for something to look back on.

Post more content

I’m very happy with the direction my blog has gone in the past year, as I spent some parts of the year going to events (which I’m incredibly grateful for), and I hope this continues in 2022.

I love the content I post but I just want to post more of the same, and some other stuff, more regularly in 2022 (if there’s anything you want to see on the blog, let me know!).

  1. Happy New Year! These are some great goals and I’m hoping to be more active too. Even if it has to start with “stand up and walk around for 30 minutes.”

  3. Haha we have similar goals about cooking more! I’m trying to cook a new recipe every week, I think I’ve become too complacent hehe.

  4. Those are looking like some mighty goals. And I have to say, I never thought I’d enjoy cooking too, but I’d just picked it up this year and I admit I’m now a convert. It may be costly (especially when it comes to baking), but it costs so much less than eating out. Anyway, thanks for this post!
