It’s the last Music Mondays post of January. I really haven’t been on top of posting these posts but I’m hoping to get back to this (and even more music content) soon.
Anyway, here’s 5 tracks I’ve been loving at the moment.
Orla Gartland, You’re Not Special, Babe
This is my second track from Gartland on the playlist and it’s an absolute banger.
I yo-yo between thinking I’m the best thing since sliced bread and the worst thing ever and this song is a good dose of perspective, whilst also being a catchy bit of indie pop we all need to drag us out of the Monday blues.
George Ezra, Anyone For You
As a bit of a groupie in his early days (😂), I’m surprised to say this is my first time featuring this indie heavyweight on the playlist!
We might only be in January but this song conjured up memories of sunny, summer days and reminded me how much I love Ezra’s rich vocals.
Gus Dapperton, I’m On Fire
This is my second time featuring Dapperton on the playlist and this time it’s a sensational cover.
The song is a gorgeous cover full of rich guitar and distinctive vocals.
CMAT, I Don’t Really Care For You
I love finding new artists to listen to and CMAT are one of my latest finds.
The track is a fun track with catchy instrumentals and sassy, country-influenced vocals.
Good Future, Call It Off
If you’re on TikTok, you’ll probably have seen Good Future (if you don’t know, get to know).
Good Future was actually my first gig of 2022 and this track – amongst others – sounded great live, infectious indie pop at its best.
What have you been listening to at the moment? I’d love to chat and share recommendations! 😊.
