I haven’t posted a Music Mondays post since January but, fear not music fans, I’m back! I spent last night in a room full of people listening to all kinds of different music which proved to be just the motivation I needed to get posting this content again.
If you’ve forgotten how these posts work (because I think I might have!), I’ll be sharing 5 tracks I’m loving at the moment.
Arlo Parks, Softly
I don’t think I’ve included an Arlo Parks song on this playlist but, considering how much I like her latest, I thought it was about time.
The song starts softly and gradually builds to an upbeat indie-pop song, Park’s poetic lyrics once again taking centre stage.
Everything Everything, Bad Friday
Considering I recently saw the band in Liverpool, I don’t see why I shouldn’t share the song that had me dancing (poorly, but that’s beside the point!) along.
The song is upbeat and bursting with energetic synths and drums.
Honeyglaze, Shadows
This was a recent, new find for me but I love the acoustic feel of this track and how easy it is to listen to.
The song is soft and melodic, the kind I imagine you’d be swaying along to if you heard it live.
Del Water Gap, Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat
This was another new find for me but I love the easy, captivating tone of the song.
The song is laced with acoustic guitar and feels made for summer…whenever we get it in the U.K.!
Kawala, Hypnotised
I saw this band perform at Sound City last night and I loved their sound and the way they held the crowd throughout, they were a new discovery for me but definitely a band I’ll be keeping an eye on.
Their latest release is this acoustic version of a track from their debut album, the kind of track that will have you thinking about summer and those unforgettable days in the sun.
What have you been listening to at the moment? I’d love to chat and share recommendations! 😊.
