I can’t believe we only have two months left of 2022! What an interesting year it has been so far. After the confusing and utterly awful Covid years, I can safely say that I’m making up for lost time. Of course, to be transparent, I’m not loving every minute. Being an ‘adult’ in this world is challenging, scary and sometimes pretty lonely but it’s years like this one that remind me that there are so many wonderful experiences to have and so many great people to have them with.
In October, I had my final holiday of the year and started my Fixed Term Appointment at work. It’s scary having more pressure on me at work, and it’s scary to think I have no clue whether I’ll have my job (or any job) once it comes to an end, but I’m trying not to let the pressure get to me too much (we’ll see how that goes, of course!).
Anyway, let’s get to the good stuff.

I didn’t watch any TV in October but I did watch some films. I started the month with Rosaline, which was actually pretty funny and the Shakespeare nerd in me loved it. Then I watched the heartwarming I Used To Be Famous. I indulged in a favourite of mine, Seven Psychopaths and watched a new – though not necessarily that good – movie Bros.
I finished the month off with Gran Tourino and Catherine Called Birdy.

I was better on the reading front, making my way through 8 books. I started off with the book everyone’s been talking about: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I then got my teeth into two Tessa Bailey books: It Happened One Summer and Hook Line and Sinker. Going in a different direction, I revisited an old book I’d studied a bit in Uni: The Bloody Chamber.
I then read The Wedding Crasher, Weather Girl and ended the month with Really Good Actually and Just For December.

I’ve been awful with Music Mondays but I’ve still managed to listen to some good tunes. Obviously I listened to the new Arctic Monkeys album and a new Billy Nomates track.

So that’s another wrap up done! Don’t forget to check out my previous wrap up posts and follow the blog and socials to keep up to date with all things Jen Rose Writes!
This all seems good! I could relate when you talked about 2022 being the year to make up for lost time due to Covid. I feel the same! Thanks for sharing!
